Timber structures are particularly expressive when posts and beams remain visible. Timber lines across a ceiling, the junctions between materials, and views through a window all contribute to the character of a home.
Begin with the space you want
The relationship between structure and space changes depending on whether you want high ceilings and an open living room or a series of more intimate rooms. Rather than reproducing a familiar image, it is important to find an arrangement that suits the family and the site.
Consider the details you cannot see
Alongside the beauty of timber, we need to review connections, waterproofing, insulation and the transitions between finishes. Structural and material specifications are developed according to site conditions and the relevant design work.
From the design stage, STAR CUBE considers timber structure and the atmosphere of the interior together.
